A TAS signature, seen through a new lens.

The Mela motif is one of TAS’s signature print languages — recognised for its bold spirals, diamonds and rhythmic geometry.

For Mela Ikat, the familiar motif is reinterpreted through subtly irregular, ikat-inspired edges. Rather than perfectly solid graphic lines, each form carries a softly broken, almost woven quality reminiscent of the characteristic visual texture of ikat textiles.

The result feels both familiar and new: the strength of the original Mela geometry softened by a more organic, handcrafted expression.

Created as a contemporary print interpretation rather than a traditionally woven ikat, Mela Ikat brings together heritage inspiration, modern design and the unmistakable print identity of Tom Abang Saufi.
